Bookclubs
Moms and More has several bookclubs that meet regularly and we are always looking to start new groups. Bookclubs are put together
based on your availability and are held at member's homes in the evening. Each bookclub sets up its own "rules" for books, hosting duties,
meeting schedules, etc.
In addition to these smaller book groups, we also have a book swap each year where you can bring your books and get
some new ones. This year, we hosted a children's book swap and members went home with new books for their kids. These book swaps are held in
the evening at member's homes and are a great MNO!
We also host a summer book club drop in where members can come to discuss one book.
This year, we read One Day and followed up with a movie night to see the motion picture starring Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess.
If you
are interested in joining a bookclub, please send an email with your availability and we will work on getting you into an existing bookclub or
starting a new one.

Charity
In the past, Moms and More has adopted a family during the holiday season, members have volunteered at and organized safety drives
to benefit My Sister's Place, and members have participated in organized walks for MADD and March for Babies. We are currently working on some
new ideas with a new coordinator. If you are interested in helping out or have a great idea, please email us to let us know.

Children's Events
Each quarter we plan dozens of events that appeal to mothers, fathers, caregivers and children of all ages! Our event planners
work hard to provide a variety of events at many different locations. Each quarter, we offer some regular events, such as Music Class with
Fern, My Gym, and Bagels and More. We also plans events at Creative Works, Stew Leonards, Veteran Skating Rink, Elmwood Community Center,
Bumblebug Art, and more! You'll find music classes, dance classes, meet up days at the park, hula hooping, yoga, swimming, picnics, pizza
parties, tours of fire stations, cookie decorating, and more on our calendar!
We work closely with local businesses to get our members
great deals. While you may pay close to $20 per class to attend classes at My Gym, Creative Works, and Bumblebug Art, our members pay only $8
to attend Moms and More classes at these businesses!
Our big event is our Halloween Stroll (formerly the Halloween Parade). We organize
this townwide event each year with the support of the West Hartford Center Business Association, Blueback Square businesses, the Chamber of
Commerce and Whole Foods. The pumpkin carnival at Whole Foods always draws a big crowd.
This year we also held a New Year Kick off Party
in January. Hundreds of members attended and danced with Miss Karla of Elmwood Community Center, created with Miss Olivia from Bumblebug Art,
and enjoyed ice cream. We hope to repeat this event again!
